Smart Access & Monitored Security
Our smart lock and alarm work together to make arrival seamless and your stay secure. Use your private code to unlock and disarm on entry; lock the door to re-arm when you leave.
Located in El Portal, Miami’s smallest municipality, the property benefits from rapid police response if ever needed.
Outdoor Security Cameras
For your protection, we operate outdoor-only cameras:
- Front doorbell camera
- Backyard camera
- Driveway camera
There are no cameras inside the home or in private areas.
Safety Sensors & Detectors
- Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in key areas
- Pool alarm to detect and alert when objects fall into the pool
- Gas safety reminders for kitchen and grill use
- Smoke sensors to help enforce our no-smoking policy
- Noise sensors that monitor volume levels only; they never record conversations
Fire-fighting Tools
- Fire extinguisher: to the left of the refrigerator
- Fire blanket: hanging to the right of the grill
- Pull it from its pouch
- Unfold the fiberglass blanket
- Place it over the fire to smother flames
Pool Safety Reminder
Our fully fenced garden is designed for relaxation, but safety comes first. Guests are fully responsible for supervising children in and around the pool, deck, and yard at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty. A pool alarm is provided, but nothing replaces an attentive adult.
Please do not disconnect or remove the pool cleaner so the water remains clean and sanitary. Review all guidelines in the pool rules.
Virtual Concierge with Privacy Protection
Our virtual concierge device is configured for hospitality use:
- No voice recordings are stored
- The camera is disabled
- It provides local recommendations and property information only
Guest Verification & Short-Term Rental Agreement
To protect guests and the property, all reservations complete a brief online verification with our trusted partner and sign a short-term rental agreement. This helps prevent fraudulent bookings and supports anti-trafficking efforts.

Instructions arrive by text or email after booking. Please complete within 48 hours to keep your reservation confirmed. Learn more on our Guest Verification page.
Mail & Package Policy
We do not accept mail or package deliveries at the property. Please use the Miami Shores or Little River post offices, or a local PO Box. Contact us if you’d like help arranging this.
Respect for Nature
We love our tropical Miami setting. You may see lizards, iguanas, or the occasional bug. We schedule regular pest control, but sightings can still occur—please report any concerns so we can respond promptly. Keep doors closed to help maintain a comfortable, secure home.
Our outdoor systems reduce mosquitoes while protecting native butterflies and pollinators.
